Designed in photoshop. I used the original image from the 1997 special edition poster, but changed Princess Leia to the proper "Episode IV" version, where as it was a "Episode V" Leia that featured in the original. I also added Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 to the bottom right corner. Also I made an original logo to add to it based on the original '90s versions of the trilogy logos.
This is a fan edit design of the original poster not for resale or commercial use. Main Artwork is by Drew Struzan. With Princess Leia and Chewbacca by Jerry Vanderstelt. The droids are from a 1977 Japanese version of the Star Wars poster.
Thank you I do love the original Struzen posters, but I felt the special edition posters did not represent each individual movie but was rather more like one big trilogy image that was divided into "heroes" for Ep.4, "villians" for Ep.5 and "other characters" for Ep.6. So what I did was try to make these images fit more into the movie it represents. Sadly I couldn't get vader into this one or Han and Leia into Episode V, as too much characters wouldn't work well
Yes, Mr. Struzen's spec. ed. posters were definitely conceived as a "triptych" -- place them side by side and they make for an epic representation of the original trilogy (as do his prequel pieces, in a way, though they are more specific to each film, obviously.
thank you i do like the original Leia, but it was from Episode V, so I found that one, it wasnt easy to get it to blend in with the others becasue it was made by a diffrent artist, I had to use the skin texture from the original leia to make it fit in. Sadly the Chewbacca image wasnt as high resolution as the rest
